Meet the hosts

Nick Parker

Nick Parker has spent his professional career in and around the news media industry, much of which has included covering the Lee’s Summit, Mo community. A product of his hyper-local newspaper, Link 2 Lee’s Summit, the Lee’s Summit Town Hall podcast was originally launched to celebrate and encourage community involvement. That starts with breaking down elections and encouraging voter involvement, and stretches to highlighting organizations and people actively working to better the community.

Jason Norbury

Co-host for the Wednesday episodes, Jason Norbury offers his analytical approach to local issues and interviews with community members. A practicing attorney and non-profit director, Norbury has been active in the Lee’s Summit community for more than a decade, serving on the City of Lee’s Summit’s Planning Commission as well as the Board of Directors for Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street. His experience with these groups gives him a broad and unique perspective on local development and governmental issues.

Liesl Hays

Liesl Hays is the co-host for the Monday NewsLink episodes of the podcast. Hays is a Lee’s Summit resident and small business owner. A member of the Board of Directors for Velocity, a non-profit driving entrepreneurship in the region, and a former Director for the Lee’s Summit Chamber, Hays has a passion for driving community engagement through sharing news and promoting local events.
